Terms of Service

1. Who may use Nony

You must be at least 17 years old to use Nony. If the law where you live sets a higher age of digital consent, you must meet that age instead.

By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement, that you are not barred from using it under any applicable law, and that your account has never been removed by us for a breach of these Terms.

Nony is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use it on behalf of a business, a bot network or an automated agent.

2. Your account

You create an account with a nickname and an avatar. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account and for keeping access to your device secure.

One person, one account. Creating additional accounts to evade a block, a mute or a ban is a breach of these Terms.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app, or by writing to us from the contact page.

3. How to behave

Nony is a place to meet strangers. That only works if everyone can trust the room. The following are prohibited on the Service:

• Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a minor, in any form. This is reported to the authorities.
• Nudity, sexually explicit material and unsolicited sexual advances.
• Harassment, stalking, hate speech, threats of violence, or attacks on people because of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or nationality.
• Sharing another person's private information — phone number, address, photos, workplace — without their consent.
• Impersonating another person, brand or organisation.
• Spam, advertising, chain messages, pyramid schemes, phishing or requests for money.
• Sale or promotion of drugs, weapons, stolen goods or other illegal products and services.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, automating, overloading or otherwise interfering with the Service or the people on it.

Use good judgement. If you would not say it to somebody sitting across a table from you, do not say it on Nony.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the messages, photos, recordings and posts you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit and display Your Content strictly for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, other than where we must keep a copy to comply with the law, resolve a dispute or enforce these Terms.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

5. Moderation and enforcement

We use automated screening and a human moderation team. Reports submitted from inside the app are reviewed with the surrounding context attached.

Where we find a breach of these Terms we may, at our discretion and without prior notice: remove content, replace an avatar, issue a warning, temporarily suspend an account, or terminate it permanently.

We do not pre-screen every message and we are not responsible for content created by other users. If you meet something that breaks these rules, please report it.

If you believe a moderation decision about your account was wrong, write to us from the contact page and a person will look at it again.

6. Premium subscriptions and coins

Nony is free to download and free to use for chatting. We also offer an optional premium subscription and coin packs that unlock extras such as improved matching during busy hours, private messages and an ad-free experience.

All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it.

Coins are a limited, revocable licence to use a feature inside the app. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and are not transferable outside the Service.

Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. We cannot issue refunds directly, but write to us and we will help you where we can.

We may change the price or contents of a plan. Where a change affects an active subscription, we will tell you before it takes effect.

7. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service up, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. Features may be added, changed or removed as the app develops.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties that are not expressly given in these Terms.

8. Meeting people you do not know

Nony connects you with strangers. We do not verify the identity of the people you talk to, and we cannot guarantee anyone is who they claim to be.

Take the same care you would offline: do not send money, do not share financial details or identity documents, be careful with personal information, and if you decide to meet in person, meet in a public place and tell somebody where you are going.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nony will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service or your interaction with other users.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 ILS.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Termination

You may stop using Nony and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create a risk for other users.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licence for material we must retain, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell you inside the app.

Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — without limiting any mandatory consumer protection right you have under the law of your own country of residence.

13. Apple App Store

This agreement is between you and Nony, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service, and in the event of any failure of the app to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price where applicable.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the standard Apple EULA.
